News about our CELTA grads…

Our recent CELTA graduates are securing work in Melbourne, Japan, China, Colombia and Russia.  We have been happy to help with this and good luck to all of them.   Great to be at the start of new adventures.  Here is what two directors of schools in Melbourne recently said about our graduates:

“CQUEnglish has employed three teachers who completed a CELTA at Melbourne Training Associates. For some, it was their first opportunity to teach after completing their initial training course, while for another, it was a chance to put into practice the additional skills they gained during the 4 weeks. All teachers have received ongoing support and development at CQUEnglish through consultations with a mentor and observations, and have continued to develop their practice. The quality of CELTA trainees completing their course at MTA has been very high, and we will continue to approach the centre when our needs arise in the future.”

Will Alderton, Director of Studies, Central Queensland University

“MTA have been the sole provider of both ongoing and relief teachers for Nova English since 2016. The quality of the CELTA course training provided by MTA instils confidence in both their cohort of students and our strategic decision to continue hiring their graduates. As an ELICOS provider that prides itself on blending learning and integrating technology in the classroom, we find that MTA graduates have the familiarity with digital devices and practical application knowledge to really shine in the classroom; moreover, they are well prepared and this lends itself to providing increased confidence levels in the classroom while keeping students engaged and eager to return. I would recommend any future teacher who is looking to jump into ELICOS, and hit the ground running with employment sometimes even before graduating, to consider MTA as the place to complete their CELTA qualification. The staff and trainers are equally as professional as they are courteous and respected throughout the industry.”

Scott Maxwell, Academic Manager, Nova English

In the meantime, we have been asked for primary school teachers for a school in Wuhan, China. This is open to our CELTA graduates and to anyone who would like to start a career in ESL teaching children.

We have also been asked for teachers to teach one-to-one and small groups in Japan. These Japan job placements are for our CELTA graduates only.
